When God created the world, He took chaos and made order.
As artists we attempt to imitate God. We create out of a blank canvas, something of beauty; out of a pile of clay, life. We are imitators of the great designer. When we draw the world around us we have a creative license to change the chaos of nature and give it order.
It has been said that there are three questions one should ask when evaluating a work of art:
- What was the artist trying to say?
- How well did he say it?
- Was it worth saying?
My hope is that as you view my art, you judge it not only as well said, but also worth saying.
